                                    Eco Garden Club

Below is more information about the school's fantastic ECO Garden Club. If you click here it will take you deeper into the other world found in our back garden!

Eco Garden club takes place during the spring, summer and autumn. We meet in the infant playground from 10.00 ‘til 11.00 on the first Saturday of each month. Watch out for our newsletter and check the school web site for details of events.

With the help of some willing adult volunteers, we keep the ECOgarden tidy and explore the wildlife that uses it.

We constructed a new pond last year. When we moved the old sink we were excited to find a female smooth newt hiding in the corner of the playground. To keep her safe, we moved her up to the log pile in the garden. In April we found five frogs and three newts using the pond!

We have done lots of exploring this year including a butterfly hunt, bird watching, pond dipping and learning about how animals survive the winter.

ECOgarden club will start again in the spring with lots more interesting activities for kids  (and adults) and some new projects in the garden. Parents / grandparents always welcome.
